Looking for sites that advise or charge for CV/Resumes...

Basically as per title, I have today decided that I want to leave my job, but as I am looking for a job in the £30k plus market in the middle of a recession with massive amounts of competition then I figured that my CV/Resume needs more than a little tart up...

So do any of you guys know of any websites that give great practical advice with example statements that could be borrowed and modified to describe generic job descriptions or has anyone used a site that has done a really good example of tarting up their CV/Resume?

why pay?
there is loads of free sites and also some people here who give great advice on CVs.

Post it up and let people see it.

you worked in greenock for t-mob! had the best view from any other canteen in a t-mob building.
bloody cold up there though.

I thought that the descriptions of the jobs I have done were poop, for the Police I project managed and led a team of 30 but it doesn't really scream that out from my CV/Resume. I'm not all all that good at selling myself and I am aware that in the current climate I really need to...

Ah it was there because it did for my current role, they wanted people without attachments who they can send around the world without saying but I don't want to leave my girlfriend or wife and two kids.

Hence why I want to change jobs, because I am now in a different position and have just been told that I am leaving my current geographic location to go at least 400 miles away or potentially to either America or Australia, which doesn't help if you want to continue a relationship here.

Your CV has potential, but it is a slight let down.

Your summary adds no value. It would have gone straight into the bin - luckily enough I read on. It should be a summary of what you have done and what you are looking for.
Your education can be combined to reduce space.
The work experience can be grouped into points.
Personal information should be removed. If the job requires a driving license, then add that.
Sort it in this order: experience, education, training.

Good luck.

would agree with triggerthat... I would say I give a CV maybe 30 seconds to catch my attention otherwise it goes in the bin... harsh but I dont have time to trawl through the ton of garbage (for the most part) I get sent..

You need to capture the readers attention within a few seconds of them picking it up.. your summary needs to be tailored for each role, to highlight your relavent experience

Were you a contractor? Lots of jobs for short periods of time....

Also I'd go

Summary
Experience
Training
Education
Personal
