As the title says, this kind of thing must stop now people are really beginning to take the ****

If I see any more from now on I'll have to make an example of a few then give out 1 month suspensions to the rest.

Please don't do it. And if you don't like it then fornicate off :D

Seems fair enough.

One puzzlement; you say 'make an example of a few' does that mean those first few will be getting harsher punishments than those that follow? Or does it mean you'll slap the first fews wrists and then start handing out suspensions to those that continue?

in all fairness we know why overclockers do this and within reason. those breaking the rules should be punished, after all they're the rules.

it doesn't stop these rules from being really ridiculous in my eyes. overclockersdoesn't have a gaming section on their website. just a token link to stop th discussion of competitors... but those are the rules and that's just my 2p.

I know & can understand the possible confusion. Just avoid the main ones really, just trying to stop the blatant asking etc tbh. I mean ffs it doesn't take a genius to use google or other more subtle methods.

Exactly, it's a bit of a joke really.

But as JediFragger said, it's not hard to use Google or any of the deals websites where this stuff gets posted, there's no real need to ask here.

just to clarify

I know i can't say a new console release is availible at a certain highstreet store

BUT

Can I say, ooooo this game's availible for £17.99, go google it?

Cheers for any light shed on this

Trust email possibly? Or do OcUK monitor these in the new system?

The e-mails go through their servers now, whereas before you could just copy and paste the e-mail address into your own e-mail client. Rubbish system to be honest, but I understand they have to do it as people keep harvesting the e-mail addresses from trust :(

Yeah I can see your point, you can say 'I picked up such&such for 18 quid, but can't say where due to breaking the rules' etc. I can understand that. I mean who doesn't use deals websites now? I do and pick up many a bargain (hence my large CC bil!!), TF2 (PC) for 8 quid for instance! And OcUK have been featured on them many a time

Gonna close this now as points have been covered. Will give it a couple of bumps the next few days in order to give peeps a chance to see it

And akaik the Trust system isn't monitored, privacy is intact.
