Prince of Persia on xbox360 help.... please??!??

hey all,

I'm currently trying to save the world by healing it using my newest best friend (the Princess!), however I'm now stuck and I'm wondering if anyone here can help!

Basically, I opened up the first 4 bits on the world map ok. I then collected enough light seeds to be able to use the temple and then traveled back to it.

Once at the temple I had a choice of which part of the world I wanted to go to next, indicated by 4 colored circles on the ground. I choose the green one (on the far left). Opened it up, set my location and started traveling off in that direction.

I'm now stuck within sight of the healing tree (my destination) on a flat square platform with small ledges sticking out of it. There are 3 other square platforms but I'm unable to reach any of them.

There is also a turning handle in the middle of the platform I'm on but I can't do anything with it.


Has anyone got to this bit, and can you help me???

Does anything I've written make sense???

(I'll try and get a screen shot of the area i'm on in a minute to help)

a screenshot would help.

you can't really get lost though, set your maker to where you want to go and press (on ps3) triangle and it will show you the exact way

ok, hang on for the screenie...

as for the direction bit, I have done that (Y) on the xbox but it just tells me to go over the gap in front on to the platform. Sadly the gap is too big to jump even with whats her face's help.

When i get on the first platform it does say that i need to line the platforms up so i can jump from one to the other, however I have no idea how to move the other platforms since I can't get on them!!!

HELP!!!!

I can't believe I've been playing this game for only 3 minutes and I'm so stuck I've had to resort to a walkthrough already. How utterly depressing.

EDIT: I suppose it doesn't help when you somehow get disorientated and end up back at the start, trying to work out how to get to places you were never supposed to...

use your compass (press triangle), its one of the first thing you learn in the tutorial. it literally shows you the exact way to go... you cant get lost
 
My getting lost happened before the compass became available. Literally just after the first battle, I must have turned the wrong way and climbed right back to the start and then wondered how the eff I was supposed to get up a cliff...
