Can MCE Remote control WMP 11?

Can this be done?

I've looked through the settings on WMP 11's options but no mention of using remotes.

If it can be done then how?

I think it can. The basics (play, pause, skip) should work. At least it used to when I had MCE a couple of years ago.

It does yes, I found out by accident the other night when I forgot I wasn't using Media Center to watch a vid and was actually using WMP11

well i tried it. The only functions that i get are Play, Pause and Stop.
Is there no option to fast forward or rewind??

It was pause I used, I've not tried the others. I'll take a look tonight when I get home.
