Crysis demo - does it work on Vista x64?

I built a new PC recently and wanted to try Crysis out but everytime I try to install the demo it comes up with an error. Does the demo work OK on Vista x64?

I've tried downloading it from two different sources to no avail.

AFAIK there should be no problems with vista 64. What error are you getting exactly? Also what are your specs?

It works, I installed it the other day on Vista Ultimate 64.

What's the error?

I had vista premium 64 running and I couldn't get it to work but then again I'm not that technical and patches etc may have been released since then.

Sorry I didn't explain the problem well enough. It wasn't actually an error. It seemed to install OK but it didn't put any shortcuts anywhere - I tried searching, looking in start menu, etc. :eek:

After a bit of googling I found it is located in the bin64 folder in program files. :confused:

Anyway, I have it working now.

LOL if it doesn't put shortcuts just go to it's program file location and make one for the desktop from the .exe

That is what I usually do but I couldn't find the .exe

Alternatively look in the 'games' folder within Windows, some games like to pop a shortcut in there instead. I'm pretty sure Crysis does.

Yeah lots of games on vista only have a shortcut created automatically in the "games" section on the start menu.
