India v England - 1st Test **SPOILERS**

Am I right in saying that India's opening partnership was 0 as Sehwag was out for 0. Or do both batsman have to be out for the total of their partnership?

The wicket fell at 6/0. Partnership = Score at fall of wicket - score at fall of last wicket.

So theoretically neither of you can score and make a partnership of as many as you like in extras.
 
KP's just got a 100, that's after coming in with the score at 1-2 with Strauss and Bell going early:eek:

This match looks like it is destined to head for a draw. Great innings by Pietersen so far.

Also in other Test match news South Africa have beaten the Aussies, they were set 414 to chase and they chased it down quite comfortably from what I've seen. That is the 2nd highest total ever to be chased as well so well done to them, if they can beat the Aussies in that series for me they are the best side in Test cricket. Aussies look a shadow of the team they were only a few years ago.
 
Yeah Strauss and Bell getting 0 and 1 respectively. Cook did get a 50 which is decent. :)

Yeah. Australia can still win games pretty convincingly but not as convincingly as they could. And they now seem to lose more games than they would have done, as South Africa have just demonstrated. But then South Africa are the team who played in an ODI v Australia who scored the highest team score ever? Only for South Africa to break the new record and win the game. :D
 
Flintoff now out for 62... oh dear we now trail by 171, with no real big hitters left we have to dig in deep and fight hard like the first battle of Ypres.
 
Doesn't matter that we have no big hitters really. Just need Prior and Broad to bat sensibly which they are both more than capable of and we'll be able to get within a hundred of India which should be close enough to salvage a draw.
 
Good old KP with another century. I swear he must average at least one per test series. Hopefully if we can bat again he can get another high score. Not looking too likely though.

Well thats the most insensible/nonsensible/unsensible batting ever with the pair gone for just 3 runs and 17 deliveries, looks like we needed those big hitters after all seeing as India have a first innings lead of 151 :( .

Good news is we are now at lunch with India at 9-0 after a delayed start, if there is any Christmas spirit and good will to all men floating about it'll end in a draw, lets hope for snow :D
