Spec me a Mindlessly Violent FPS With Massive Baddies...

Right, Painkiller Black Edition and Shadow of Chernobyl both on order now.

Should keep me busy until SR2 is out.

Cheers. :)

played doom 3 and expansion, they're pretty good games with lots of random blowing away of monsters and have some pretty big nasty enemies, can be had for couple of quid now as well :)

If you just like killing things why not play any of the Quake / Unreal games? I know most people hate it, but UT3 is awesome and the weapons all feel like massive overkill, especially combined with plenty of gore xD
I'd say GoW if you weren't specifically after a FPS too.

Certainly can't go wrong with l4D though. VS mode is awesome.

Serious sam

This basically describes the thread title...
If you like Mindless Violence and HUGE bosses - Serious Sam is where it's at :p

Never really liked it though - too dull and basic =\

I also recommend Quake 4 - or Gears of War has some pretty big baddies - but it's not an FPS...

Sam is/was great for it's co-op play.

I'm sure it's more than just nostalgia that made games such as doom, C&C, Serious Sam etc , so much fun. Before the days of firewalls, windows updates, patches, Drm, multi player gaming was so easy. Buy a game install it on multiple pc's. link via serial or network and play.. no hastle, no need for £300 gaming cards, they were not needed or even existed.

Tbh, I would recommend Dead Space as a mindless violence game. It's fun just mashing up bad guys.

Sure as hell isn't a horror game; if you're looking forward to enemy encounters (And in this case, you are. It's fun), and not dreading meeting anything, it's not doing it's job as a horror.

Devil May Cry4 (more of a fighting game) & Lost Planet (arcade style FPS) are both superb and contain some of the greatest bosses you will ever see:D

Also Resident Evil4 on the PC contains some large bosses as well.

dead space you can swap to first person view by hitting f1 key i know i could so didn't find it an issue.
