Eating at your desk, Do's and Don'ts?

I just recently did the annual keyboard clean and found a collection of stale crumbs! Mainly from toast I'm guessing.

Just wondered if anyone had any keyboard/laptop disasters? I'm guessing soup is the main enemy of the keyboard muncher! :)

I knocked a cup of tea over this morning - all over my laptop. Up to now it seems ok and obviously it didn't explode not so long ago when I connected it to the mains.

Hot chocolate over the monitor.

No hot drinks, or any unprotected drinks within a 3 metre radius of my PC after that incident.

Somehow this reminded me of the scene in short circuit 2 when johnny is on a mission to catch oscar bleeding battery fluid etc...hardcore!!!!:D

i dont eat like a slob so eating at PC is ok for me always nice and tidy!

I bought a g15 a while back, had it a week or two and spilt my bong on it, a dead g15 ensued.

i have however done that 2 times but it still worked afterwards

On two separate occasions i've spilt an entire cup of tea onto/INTO the keyboard! lol

I've got a stack of hard drives on my desk and the tea made a beeline for them, so I quickly lobbed them across the room (onto the bed!) and pooped my pants as I watched the tea flow to the back of my desk. I could hear it dripping onto the skirting board behind my PC and splashing up against the back of my PC lol......... nightmare

Stupid thing was... once i'd soaked all the tea up, i decided to upturn my keyboard... not realising that 1/2 the cup of tea was still inside lol
