Just put my system together today and loaded Vista 64 and everything went ok. However, when I look in system properties only 4GB RAM is showing (and on the startup screen as well). I've taken the RAM out and placed it back in again but still the same. According to the manual the RAM should be placed in slots A1/B1/C1 which they are. Is there an option in the BIOS I have to enable?

Don't know if it's related or not but when I also try to refresh the windows experience index it goes though the motions but still stays at 1.0. Any ideas?

Edit: I've changed the setting in the BIOS for the RAM but it's still only showing 4GB.

Have you tried inserting the ram just one at a time to see if maybe one could be faulty? If so try memtest as well.

Tried memtest and all ok. Under CPUz it shows 6GB of RAM but it doesn't show it when I boot or under system properties. There's a thread about it on the Asus forums so it's not just me having this problem.

Re-seated my graphics card and ran the windows experience again and it worked this time.

Also re-seated my RAM in different slots but it's still not showing up in the boot screen or in Vista - frustrating!

yep getting the same thing with other makes of ram on this board even with updated bios

It really is picky what ram you install, only hope is wait for an updated bios.
