Seriously? Are there any PC/Xbox360 compatible speakers?

Has no company bought out a set of speakers that works with both at the same time? Speakers that don't require fiddly wire changing everytime you want to play each one? Speakers that support PC 5.1 surround sound and the Xbox 360's audio?

I had one set of speakers, had a single audio jack in the subwoofer, great just get a headphone splitter and get them both plugged in ... didn't work. Something in my PC or the Xbox 360s audio cable messed with the other ...

Bought a Creative 5.1 surround system that was 'compatible' with Xbox 360 ... was not.

Routing my Xbox 360's sound through my PC gives some horrible distortion and noise at certain frequencies, it reduces over time however its very annoying and still only 2.1 audio.

Does anyone know of any godly speakers that could solve this headache of mine?

Thanks

i imagine any set of speakers that have 2 inputs on them will do the trick (i.e. lets you switch between inputs depending on what your using).

why wasnt the xbox compatible with the Creative 5.1 speakers? surely you either use L and R stereo from the xbox or you use the optical cable for full 5.1 goodness?

It's also worth noting that the sound that comes from the xbox is not amplified and so will need some kind of amplification before its audible at normal listening levels (this may be why you had problems using a headphone splitter)

Yeah ... can't find any decent nice pc speakers that do though ...

Because there is no way to connect my Xbox 360 the three green, orange and black audio jack things that go into my PC's 5.1 sound card :(

Well my old 2.1 speakers worked with the Xbox 360, I just couldn't split the signal and have both my PC and 360 plugged into the speakers at the same time.

I just need a simple set of PC speakers that has 2 inputs, one for my pc and one for my xbox 360.

Amp + proper speakers = win. Expensive but generally far better than your average PC speakers.

I have it set up with my TV, PC and 360... press a button to switch between the sources.

If you can't afford that then Z5500s will have two inputs.

My Logitech Z-10s were able to do that nicely with my PS3. I used the USB cable for the PC audio, and then used the normal 3.5mm jack for the PS3, using a red/white phono-to-3.5mm adapter. Meant I could play GTA4 and have my own music playing via the PC instead of the awful in-game radio.

Yeah to expensive ... plus whenever I type 'amp' into google or amazon ... I just get guitar amps ...

Omg ... that is perfect!

<looks up price>

god dammit :(

£170.78 thats about £120 to much :(

Thanks for giving me hope though, I'm sure there is a far simpler marked down model :)
