in my last two phonebills from orange, i've been charged £42 and £41 when i'm on a £35-a-month contract. i've checked the itemised statements for both my bills, and in the £42-bill, there are no items in the entire list that have a charge attached, and in the £41-bill, there is a single item charged at 0.75p.

i can't work out where these magical charges are coming from!

i've sent an email to orange support.

<edit>
called orange support; it was a £5-a-month internet package i didn't know i had, which i've now cancelled.

They did this to me for 2 months as well, I think when you sign up you get 3 months free (I wasn't told this in the shop).

Imagine how much money they make from these mistakes....

Mmmm, is this a new thing - my last Orange contract had the 3 months Internet free, then I got a text message saying if you want to sign up text back blah de blah.

Only asking as I have just taken out another contract so want to check to see if its normal for them to just carry on charging now :s

they've been doing this for a while now
When you sign up, they give you 2 months free Evening and Weekend internet.
if you don't cancel it, they just leave it on

yeah, thats the one :(

i'm sure the person i spoke to when i registered by phone said it'd just end after two months...

Orange have been doing this for years and years. I forget about it each time I move back to Orange and end up being charged, but they are good enough to refund you the money.

Yep, same here too. Bit sneaky I think.

I was told the same after just one month. I asked them to remove it immediately without even waiting for the trial period to expire.
