So I've decided to stop obsessing over the pros and cons of what bike I'll get next year and instead having a think about running costs. Of particular concern is insurance.
I am 25, will have completed the DAS.
In 2006, in my car, I made a write off claim, single vehicle accident.
So I went on confused, obviously stating no riding experience, etc. For a GSX650F; already this indicates I can't even think about anything like a Steet Triple (group 16) as this is only group 10 and the cheapest quote was £850...
That loads isnt it?
I live in SE23 in London, which might have something to do with it, and I said I will be storing it on the road, as we won't have a garage or anything like that. I said it would have immobiliser and tracking etc too.
This is way more than I would like to pay - how much can I expect it to reduce after a year or two no claims? Any idea?
In other news, although I should stop thinking about bikes (which clearly I have demonstrated I cannot), the GSX650F looks brilliant, right on the money and hopefully not susceptible to the problems of the bandit in terms of corrosion cos of the fairing..
