Anyone seen if this is on this year? I have it on DVD but it's in storage.

My fav. bit: Probably the greased up sledge / disc ride!:D

It was on in Canada last night

^^^^Not useful to anyone unless you're in Canada and have a time machine.

awesome film, i love it, always crack it out this time of year :p

i like the part where he's going to fetch the big christmas tree and has trouble with those two dudes in the truck :D

It's A Wonderful Life is regarded as the best Christmas film ever made. It's been that way for decades, and will probably be that way for decades to come.

I disagree however. My vote is for Christmas Vacation too.

Clark: Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, kiss my ass. Kiss his ass. Kiss your ass. Happy Hanukkah.
----
Ellen: What are you looking at?
Clark: Oh, the silent majesty of a winter's morn... the clean, cool chill of the holiday air... an ******* in his bathrobe, emptying a chemical toilet into my sewer...
----
Ellen: Clark, Audrey's frozen from the waist down.
Clark: That's all part of the experience, honey.
----
Audrey: Do you sleep with your brother? Do you know how sick and twisted that is?
Ellen: Well, I'm sleeping with your father. Don't be so dramatic.
----
[after Clark fails at lighting all the exterior Christmas lights at the "lighting ceremony" in front of the entire family]
Frances: Talk about ****ing your money away. I hope you kids see what a silly waste of resources this was.
Audrey: He worked really hard, Grandma.
Art: So do washing machines.

What a fantastic film :)

The squirrel leaping out of the tree towards clark is absolutely awesome :D, then he lands on his chest later i think. mint :D

One of the great Xmas films and probably the best of the Griswold movies too.

Though it has to be said, Randy Quaid really steals the show as Cousin eddie.

Part that has me splitting my sides is the overcooked turkey popping closely followed by the dog "Yakking on a bone" sequence. Comic genius

Be warned though, the are two versions in circulation - when Clark delivers a monologue towards the end of the film, the unedited version inserts an f-bomb to describe dancing with Danny Kaye while the sanitised version (which is presumably what ITV are showing) dubs it with "freakin' " or something similar.

At 11.25 in the morning i'm sure it'll be edited.

My favourite bit is when he turns the lights on a forces the electricity grid to emergency power!
