Spec me one please.

Doesn't have to be from OcUK as i want one which is USB and that takes a proper coax aerial lead and not just a piddly little internal aerial.

I have been looking at - Hauppauge WinTV NOVAT Stick USB TV Capture Card

It needs to be compatible with Vista 64-bit and has to be USB as it's going in a Lian Li V350B with a big graphics card and asus xonar d2x so has to be USB.

Thanks,

Andy

P.S the computer is based in a cupboard but outputted into another room so how would a remote work with this?

I use a Freecom DVB USB stick and works with Vista Media Centre and comes with adapter for coax. Only problem I find is its not a dual tuner stick so may be a consideration if you ever find the need to record two channels. Other than that, have used it for years on both XP and Vista with no problems.

just bought a hauppauge one and very very impressed

Do either of those have a composite video input? I need one for recording off the sky box.

I had a Freecom USB one (probably still have it), there wasn't any 64bit driver support, has this changed?

Dont know about the Hauppauge, but the Freecom just comes with coax adapter. I think for composite, I hazard a guess you may be forced down the internal PCI card route as they probably have more inputs.

Not sure of any problems before as I just downloaded the drivers from Freecom. There are drivers for 32 and 64 bit on the download page but I have only used the 32 bit ones so far.

The Avermedia Volar Black HD got a really good review in custom PC this month. £34.99 is the price. Thinking about buying it myself because the freecom one I've got is garbage, won't pick anything up at all.

No probs, I've found one now that's a dedicated USB device for video capture.
