This has probably been asked umpteen times. But I appreciate any feedback :)

I have an 37" LCD TV and would like to beef up the sound aspect.
Im not looking for anything extravagant.

Im a total novice/noob on this topic so please be gentle with me :p

(Looking at circa £200 or so for everything).

TIA :)

Second hand amp and speakers would give you the best bang for buck with this budget. Do you have any size restrictions for the room ?

I would look at getting a cambridge audio amp from the bay as well as some reasonable speakers something similar to the wharfedale 9.1 ?

I do not think anything else that is new would be in budget to be honest as you will require speaker cable, phono connecters and speaker stands on top of what you spend on these parts.

People may burst into flames around here if you start mentioning all in one options but you never know... someone may know a thing or two about those as well.

£250 will get you a Sony DDWG800 5.1 home cinema kit which is just amp and speakers. Got one myself, great piece of kit.

Sounds the ticket.
Anything for a bit less than that? Preferably under the 200 mark.
(Are they easy to setup btw? And whatabout wiring and what have you (i.e. do you guys tack the wiring to skirtboards etc if its going to the other corner of the room?)
