Is it possible to play MP3's down a phone?

I want to leave a message for the wife (slushy lovey dovey one ) for my wife on her voicemail.

What I want to do is to play a MP3 and send that down the phone.
I've tried holding the handset by the speakers but the quality is rubbish.

I downloaded Skype but couldn't find anything on there to play a file during a call.

Does anyone know if this is possibe?

It'll always be rubbish becuase you're nice bitrate MP3 will always be converted down to 16khz sample rate. Other than that I can't help
