Obama is a fraud!

Obama's not the Messiah — he’s a very naughty boy.

rofl! i very nearly spilt coffee over my desk!

to the OP, looks like utter nonsense, all he does is drivel on about all the iterations of hope to somehow convey his message that obama is a maniac.

Every president will derive hope as his/her means of winning an election whether or not they choose to act on it. Doesn't bother me in the slightest as they all have bogus language to convince us they're the best.

If i were American i'd just vote to whoever speaks the most sense (which is usually never but there usually is a small margin).

Magick, if you were to be so kind I have some questions for you. Do not feel obliged to answer them:

a) How old are you?

32

b) Who do you live with?

By myself in my flat.

c) What sector do you work in?

Not important, but I do alright ;-)

d) How would you describe your political views?

I don't really have any political views in the traditional sense, in the sense i'm neither left wing or right wing. Politics is based on division and creates the very problems it's suppose to fix.

Humanity raising it's consciousness is solution to our problems. The problem is, a population with heightened awareness will be the undoing of our governments hence why they try and dumb people down through the media.

e) Do you take hallucinogenic drugs often / frequently?

I went through the acid phase was when I was 15-18 back in 91-93 when acid was all the rage. Aside from that I've hardly done any acid since. I did do some 8 months ago though.

In fact I don't really take do drugs anymore, though I may end up doing some coke over christmas. Also, I don't even really drink that much now.

Forgive my curiousity. I was just curious to see if your background might influence your views in any way.

Has it?

Its not unusual at all for governments to make promises, what makes them good leaders or not is wether they live upto them and impliment them.

Interesting but I may be being simple here when I ask if it makes any difference if he swore it on a Dr Seuss book? Apart from shutting up the people who don't think he is a practicing Christian. It is the form of words that is the important part and that can be done without reference to a deity (or should be allowed thus for those without a religious denomination).

Technically it would make no difference at all. In practice, however... well, you can imagine how the punters would respond.

In any case, we all know that you can't become POTUS unless you're a Christian.

What does "raising consciousness" mean, and can you point out any countries where this has been achieved, to the benefit of everyone?

The problem is, a population with heightened awareness will be the undoing of our governments hence why they try and dumb people down through the media.

What does "heightened awareness" mean, and what difference would it make?

Since Western democracies allow anyone to enter politics on the basis of a popular vote and remove an incumbent government under this same principle, it seems a bit daft to claim that there's some sort of conspiracy designed to "dumb down people through the media", as if this would somehow benefit the current government in any way.

"Hey, I have an idea! Let's dumb down the public via the media!"
"OK, what will that do?"
"It will stop them from removing us from power".
"How?"
"It just will, OK?!"
"But what about our democratic political system?"
"Oh bugger... well let's just dumb them down for the hell of it. Via the media, of course".
"But we don't control the media. This is a liberal western democracy, remember? We have to keep the media sweet because they can make or break an entire election campaign".
"Oh bugger... well let's just spread some conspiracy theories, then".
"What will that do?"
"It'll be good for the lulz... and it'll give us an idea of how many people are already so dumbed down that there's nothing more we can do to them..."

Acid was all the rage in the 60s and 70s. Anyone taking it in the 90s was either 20 years too late to be fashionable, or trying to be cooler than they actually were.

The responses in this thread reminds of the old conformity experiments:

Whilst they may not be correct I respect people such as David Icke and Majick for at least having the balls question what we're all brainwashed to think via the mainstream media etc.

I'd love to have been there when the "informed masses" were ridiculing all those claiming the Earth was round.

True, true. Although I believe 95% of conspiracy theories (First moon landing didn't happen, Chemtrails, etc.) are completely false, the topic of the thread has veered off quite severely.

If it's so ridiculous and un-important, why does this thread have so many replies?

Because everyone posts exactly the same reply so they can score some intellectual bonus points and make themselves feel smarter in the process.

Can anyone tell me what we're "brainwashed to think by the mainstream media"?

I must have been out when they delivered the programme.

I guess you were safely cocooned in your little bubble during the acid craze in the 90s then. You seriously don't remember the absolutely massive 'acid house' breakthrough?

There's a difference between differing opinions / questioning what we are told to believing that ancient bloodlines control the world and make secret deals with grey aliens, spirits and that the queen is a reptillian creature controlling the fate of man.

Icke is completely insane.
