Its a Gigabyte EP45 UD3P. Instaled with some other bits but no life when i boot it up, things ive tried.
Tested the Corsair TX750 with another rig and its fine.
Tested the mobo on another rig and PSU and still no sign of life.
Anything im missing.

The mobo shows no signs of life at all, tried with a Seasonic 600 and the Corsair TX750, both power leads correctly attached. Both PSU's work fine with other rigs.
Connected the 2x4 lead and the normal power lead, no lights or life signs on the mobo.

The case is a Cosmos S and only has a powerlead and a HDD activity lead connected both and tried all variations. Now youve got me thinking, if i short the two power pins, will that start the mobo?

Yes. A lot of ppl. me included, check a setup before its installed in a case that way. Eliminates any probs with case mountings causing short circuits.

I know mate, schoolboy error, with this rig i had to wait for the mobo to come into stock and then wait even longer for the WCing stuff. I cracked on with a bit of concurrent activity so when the CPU block arrived i was ready to go and didnt want to take it all out again, proper pain in the ass and the first time ive has to use RMA. Deffo no short circuits though.
