Tesco 24hr Alcohol

Does Tesco stores that are open 24hr Sell Alcohol 24 hours as well?

I really should know this but I only work in Tesco Express lol.

Nope just because they are open 24hours doesnt mean their licence allows them to sell alcohol 24hours

AFAIK they fence off the alcohol isle mid-evening.

It depends store to store and on their licence. Some have it 24h some shut at 11pm.

I work in a 24 hour tesco, we stop selling alcohol at 10pm.

Yeah it's national licensing laws, federal if you like, although there may be off-licenses that sell up to 12pm. We have one.

I was turbo surprised that from May this year you cant buy alcohol after 10.30pm in Ireland.

Seems they are trying to curb a problem

! Though so pose the off license across the road closes at a silly time like 9.30!

I was wondering...If just say "walked" around the barrier and picked up some would it go threw the till?

And it just goes to show how much of the stuff in here you should actually believe.

Some do - some don't. Ours Doesn't, but I know countless that do and some that don't. It depends what store it is & whether they have a licence to do it.

Phone them up and see first. Just don't bother listening to what people post here as most are just referring to the stores they frequent (which will be limited)

no, till will be programmed to lock out certain items at certain times so some unknowing till person doesn't lose them a very profitable licence.

Its hilarious that governments think limiting times you can buy will limit drinking after pubs are out, I mean it will do for two days before people who need to keep drinking after a pub simply make sure they buy alcohol before going out that night instead of after.

No as you need it authorised if theres only a self service till open
