Pound land.

This community sometimes reminds me of American Psycho.

It's a tad daunting how materialistic our society is. We spend most of our lives undermining each others existence by benchmarking our possessions, assets and standards against each other, when all those things in essence are probably the least of our individual achievements or worries.

But I guess we have to sustain an active trophy cabinet of life to warn others of our success, be it knowing a good quality watch, having a solid opinion on what is or isn't a 'retro shoe' or believing that price determines quality (since when did we fall for that one, by the way?). Anyway, I digress.

Poundland Rocks man

i work for them and was nearly in a fight the day cause i shut the shop and the git wanted in to buy stuff for his wife.

:D:D:D

poundland is good for *some* stuff, depending on what they have.

In newcastle they used to have a big store in the now nocked down and currently been rebuilt eldon square bit. Now its a stupidly squashed shop that never has anything good.

The old one used to always have some good computer, electronic stuff. i remember the old days of the old eldon sq £ land when i got a £20 gamecube controller, ps2 power stand, kingstong (poss spellng mistake) pc stuff.good dvds, inc some pc games etc.

Now its is just utter cwap - go in, with it been so small you get smashed knee caps from the baskets of nutters in there.

Jesus, I'm felling all sorry for Poopants now.

Tis Christmas after all and if you want some money to get your mother a decent present... Not from bloomin poundland...
I'll give you the cash. :D
