At 1280x1024 with a dualcore 2.5GHz cpu, 2gb 1066MHz ddr2ram, and a HIS ATI Radeon HD 4670 IceQ 1024MB, how much fps would I generally get on the following games would you imagine?

Cod 4 and San Andreas you should get quite good results on but as for Gears, I think you may be cpu limited there to get as much as you'd expect, though you may get a nice surprise (good luck with Gears save games btw). I think Grid runs particularly well on ATI cards so that should be reasonably good. Until enough patches / drivers come out etc GTA 4 will be a system hog, mind you, think already people are noticing some improvement. Due to 8.12 drivers maybe?

Yeah, for my brother, possibly by the end of this year. He isnt a big gamer but does enjoy the big titles here and there. I just need something decent and cheap.

For the price of that i would be looking around for a cheap 8800GT.

look for 8800gt 2nd hand dont buy 1gb 4670.. i dont think it can handle that much memory at 128bit.. even you if you will think of buying it then better save the money and get 512mb version
