Gamespot review 9/10 my stinky ring.

This game is so full of bugs and ** me if the system requirements arent mental for such an old look.
loads of graphical glitches, flashing shadows, etc,

Rockstar, you had my true admiration for the games you produced in the past, but this heap of festering dingo's intestines has lost my faith in you, I hope you all lose your jobs, you don't deserve them. Do something suited to you,
I suggest designing brogues, someone needs to decide where the pattern of holes should go, you cant go that far wrong,

Fully star out swearing.

Works fine for me. On the highest texture and render quality I think it looks good, the way the cars move and the overall physics are probably the best on PC as well.

shame really i really wanted to get GTA 4, but have heard it runs like absoloute dog. Would have bought it otherwise

Trust me, on your setup it will be fine. It's the quad core that does it. You either need a quad core or a really high clocked dual.

People aren't used to games that need a really good CPU more than a good graphics card. With a 1GB card you will be able to max the texture settings as well.

If you have the pc to run it it is great. Get it on the console if you don't want graphical glitches or loads of bugs. It's just a bad port, the game itself is amazing.

I thought it a bit rubbish, like most games really. I picked up a copy for the Xbox off ebay last month. Maybe played it for 2 hours before realising there far better things to do with my life than waste it playing games!

I cant fault the physics, the cars do move great, but the look is so dated and the graphics suck on my machine, glitches from shadows, amongst others. thats not good. I have a **** hot system and if i have problems then rockstar are to blame,

If you have no problems then i am pleased for you, go play,

Just my experience isnt the same, £30 and waiting for a patch, grrr

not happy.

Thats the point. the game does look great and plays great, crap graphics and insane system requirements aside, but if rockstar gave a **** they would do a decent port, but if you look back and see the gta games they have released for console only, it makes me wonder if they are trying to ditch the pc market and focus on consoles,


It is easier to produce games for a stable system that won't be upgraded than try to keep up with the PC,
I also think if a game cant run correctly on all systems, after a year since the console release, then it has no right to be released


Please no pc vs console arguments, they all have their benifits, I just like my pc.

Now that I don't agree with, I was really really hyped for GTA on console, I had to abandon playing the PS3 one after a couple of hours because on a big tv its so blurry

is it, I just have 3 missions to go ( at the point you pick deal/revenge) and so far I've been highly enjoying it and found no annoying bugs.

They aren't. It's not as if a q6600 is expensive is it.

for such an old look.

Apart from the lack of AA it doesn't look old in any way.

I can't say I notice them any more, I can recall em but I think they are gone since the patch, the shadows that is. Cant say I've seen any other glitches. Perhaps they are still there (and I got used to it) but I don't really notice this so sorry if I'm wrong.

It's really worth 9/10. Add AA and it's 10/10. I don't get the moaning tbh any more, the cars and the city looks superb, the story is good, the missions are good, the physics are simply awesome, the music is good, and unless you max out everything in gfx options the performance is fine, I'm getting superb performance as it is atm. Much better than the stuttery utter **** on the consoles.
