What film scared you the most as a kid?

Another film that scared my as a kid was DUEL, the Steven Speilberg movie about the car driver being terrorised by a big black lorry. Jaws on the road!

Used to absolutely love dinosaurs, had them on my curtains and loads of figurines.

Then at circa 5-6 years old I saw Jurassic Park.

Cue a year of nightmares thinking the T-Rex was going to bit through the roof like it did that toilet block, and having to get rid of the models etc.

ooh, microwave massacre was another. It was about a building site worker who bought this big industrial microwave, killed his wife and cooked her in it before getting rid of the evidence by making sannies with her and selling them to his fellow workers.

I remember when I was about that age and I had a huge Critters 2 poster about the size of a door! That kept me awake some nights.

I am pretty ashamed to say that E.T scared the hell out of me when I was little. To the point where if I saw a photo of him, I wouldn't sleep for a week.

Really don't know how it happened, I hadn't even seen it but he just freaked me out!

I didn't actually sit and watch it until I was about 14, when I realised he's really very cute, I cried bucket loads!

i managed to scare my 3yr old cousin with that on boxing day when it was on the box. she wanted to watch it still though. was very impressed

Nothing really stands out, apart from the scene in Superman 2 where the henchwoman gets dragged into the machine. That haunted me for weeks.
