Just bought a Sony KDL32V4000U (32" Widescreen LCD TV with freeview)

for £299 inc with a 5 year warranty.

Will be used for casual TV viewing nothing else. Its going in my Home cinema room so will not be used for DVD's or anything as I have my projector and screen for that.

Any Good ?

A browser of AvForums? That deal popped up today from a certain high street store. Very good for the money; nothing beats it with regards to the price...the next step up, in my eyes, is the Panasonic LDX80/85 costing £100 more or so. Congratulations on a good buy. :)

Sweet

I got the Panasonic LXD80 from there too. There were rather large queues, waited an hour in the queue in the freezing cold for it too!

Were there queues at the branch you went to easyrider?

I walked out with it and said, "that was lucky, got the last one too" to wind people up in the queue outside :p

Better not be the place that begins with 'R'!

I'd certainly ring up to check if they have it in stock before you make the trip out mate. They had definitely sold out of one of the Sony's by the time I had got to the counter. There were about 50 people infront of me when I got there, and easily that many behind me when I walked out. Which one were you after?

edit - sorry for hijacking your thread easyrider!!

If its any consolation there were a lot more people walking out with Sony 32 and 40" v4000's than the Pano, so you might be in luck.

Give them a ring tomorrow and check their stock, is there no way you can get to one tomorrow instead?

Working all day at a rival in Putney...may give them a ring and ask them to save it but dunno, see how it goes. :(

My Mrs got one in Kingston today. Great buy for the price, and it will keep her away from my Kuro :D:D:D:D

Did she que long if its the two shops im thinking of? Thinking about going there or Wimbledon tomorrow!

Well she got to riches store ;) just as it opened and the que was coming out of the door. She counted 6 other peeps buying the 32 V4000 at the same time as her.

Pretty mad bargain hunters I would say
