It's Labour's fault btw, not Woolworths.

Implemented on 1st October 2007

• It will be an offence for a person under the age of 18 to purchase an imitation firearm; likewise it will also be an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of 18.

That law isn't the problem in itself, its what is classified as imitation, nothing I saw in those pictures resembled anything like an "imitation firearm".

It doesn't say "realistic imitation", thats a different law totally, a "realistic" imitation firearm is totally illegal to sell now.

From October 1st 2007 it will be an offence to:

• Manufacture a realistic imitation firearm.

• Modify an imitation firearm so it becomes a realistic imitation firearm.

• Sell a realistic imitation firearm.

So , yes, you have to be 18 to buy the "Quantumeazer Space gun" :( You'll also be a criminal if you paint the "Quantumeazer Space gun" black.

• It will be an offence for a person under the age of 18 to purchase an imitation firearm; likewise it will also be an offence to sell an imitation firearm to a person under the age of 18.

Note the lack of the word "realistic" in that part, although it was specifically present in the previous law.

I like how they cant sell it to anyone under the age of 18 yet on the front there is a 10 year old kid brandishing the "weapon"!
