--- An Amazing Graphics Card Deal for Christmas! ---

I would also be interested in knowing if any PCI-E power adaptors are included as I beleive my PSU only has a 4-pin at present.

Marktime - Did you get a PCI-E adaptors with your generous bundle by any chance? And how are you getting along with the card, heard its hot and power hungry, is this the case? :D

Third edit lol, what is the warranty on this card?

Got 2x3 pin PCI-E to molex adaptors. I am assuming you can use just one of these in the card's 8 pin power connector as there's only one configuration that will connect properly.

I haven't got it up and running yet, I'm planning to use it whilst I RMA my 260GTX in the new year and I don't really want to start dismantling my system before I have to.

I believe the warranty is 2 years overall, not sure how much of that is with OCUK.

im a diddy so please excuse my question if the answer is obvious :D

i have a HIS x1950 512mb , would this card be much faster given it only has 256mb memory ?

Faster if its faster than the X1900s, as they were faster than the 7900gt :)

Would imagine it'd be about 20-30% faster game dependant.

Good card for the cash, just a shame OcUK can't do any brucey bonus £10-20 deals like those 7300GT DDR3s that went around a while back, or the 9600s that were going for £11 for like five seconds (exceedingly limited stock afaik, so have all gone)

To be fair to them they were presented as very limited in stock, wouldn't even let you order them online, they were simply presented as clearance.

When I bought one in august, I upgraded from a 7800gt xxx and there was a major boost in frames. I was at 1280 at the time and it could max out cod4 (no aa) about 50-60 frames. Even at 1920 I'd get 50-60 on low but with shadows and secular map and texture on medium.

So your running one now at 1920?

Jesus, if I wasn't stuck on AGP I'd bite your hand off, twice as fast as mine and tbh good for a lot of great games (even pretty recent ones).

Am I the only person left on AGP now? They used to at least make half-decent cards for AGP :(

AGP = ageing grandad performance?:p

You can get a 3850 (or 3870?) on AGP slot i think, performance isn't too bad.

Was a pricing error.

Its still on there website ;) A pricing error like that would have been fixed within 1-2 days, its now been on there 3 afaik. They do occasionally do things like this to clear old stock. They're pretty much out of stock now, which tends to be the idea in those sort of pushes, as the stores get charged to return recall/clearance stock.
