Not strictly true. Under 'occupation law' Palestinian kids from 12yrs old are imprisoned for offenses such as throwing stones or being out past curfew - in prisons with adult prisons, murderers and sex offenders. Israeli soldiers also shoot children with rubber coated steel bullets and live rounds.
And in response to your other points - the Palestinians do not want war. A small minority want the eradication of Israel as a state, the vast majority want to live in peace and a right to return to the land they were evicted from. I don't think that's unreasonable. The conditions Palestinians live in are pretty close to living in an open-air prison.

Why? Because Hamas keeps launching unguided rockets into Israeli towns. Israel, like any Country, can only take so much provocation before taking revenge. Yet when they do, it's always "big bad Israel killing innocent civilians" when reported by our biased news corporation.
Oh, I'm sorry. I was under the impression that this thread was concerning the latest airstrikes and the cause of said airstrikes. Not the entire history of the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

I am not an Israeli supporter apart from saying this:
Palestinians = Arabs.
Arabs = Muslims.
Muslims = KILL INFIDELS (unbelievers like Jews and Christians) and NEVER befriend them.
It seems pretty straightforward to me where the problem lies for the whole world, not just Israel.

When you rain missiles and rockets upon a largely civilian populace in retaliation against attacks by terrorists and guerillas, you lose any moral high ground you might otherwise have held. Which in Israel's case, is none.
The other lunatics have just announced impending reprisal attacks. Great news for everyone in the region.
