the dvd drive is noisy, the rest of it isnt....all i can hear are the fan motors unless im spinning a game disc on my 360, which isnt often now unless im installing the game on the hard drive...... my 360 is quieter than my ps3.
i think 360's have wider game coverage,, thats it no other plus the ps3 has it built in,, wireless/bluetooth/blueray/1080p/dual shock controllers now add that to the cost of xbox getting upgrades ie wireless game pad/internet/earphone (ps3 uses a lot of phone bluetooth earpieces) xbox only there own the new land of ps3 home knocks spots of xbox rip of wii....

bluetooth is good for one thing only - wireless earpieces and it doesnt manage that very well. bluray is great and all but you can get a 360 AND a bluray player for the cost of a ps3 now so i dont think its a PRO any more unless you HAVe to have everything in one box. 1080p the xbox does just as well, dual shock controllers - you wont get many arguments that the 360 pad is better. wireless game pads? comes with the 360....... the internet is poorly executed on the ps3 but i guess you could count that...i guess. i use my pc though. .......

OT: i havent played around enuff with the xbox but how do i browse webpages on the 360 again? ps3 seems very straightforward to do that.

you cant and you know you cant:rolleyes: the brower on the ps3 is ok for looking at the odd page or two but its slow and support is poor. its also counter intuitive, i know i prefer using the pc thats under my tv *shock yawn ect*

i forgot, we're not allowed to say anything negative about the ps3 lol

Not used the official one then? Or the blu-ray remote? Ever had issues with your controllers?

Dont really see having 2 boxes as much of a benefit imo, forgetting about the large capacity for games aswell?

Cant say ive had any issues tbh id update your firmware, PS3 BBC iPlayer for example is a nice addition.

Not supporting the other post at all but yours is easily easily as bad!

well, we all know all ps3's arent equal and the same goes for the 360. my 360 is seriously quiet, if you imagine how quiet say....a corsair power supply is - thats how quiet my 360 is. unless its spinning a game disc then like i said its like a hair dryer lol. but as my games are on the hard drive you rarely ever hear that from my 360.

I know, my wife's 360 is ridiculously loud, although it's over two years old now. My 4 month old Elite is silent compared to hers! Still got nothing on my PS3 though in terms of noise

how is that a a result of bluetooth? i never had a problem with the 360 controller either and they are RF so should that be counted as a plus as well? as for the BT remote its a double edged sword - great that i dont have to point it at the ps3 but annoying because my all in one remote doesnt control bluetooth.....so everything else is controlled with the one remote except the ps3....annoying.

dont see having to use two seperate remotes as a benefit either but you forgot about lol. the benefit, if you need to be told, is that a seperate stand alone player would use about 1/5 the power playing blurays. There is no drawback unless you have to have everything in one box which i already mentioned btw.

rendering speed, poor support, blah blah blah. i dont complain about it because its free at the end of the day, but its not brilliant is it? its better than the 360 sure as we all know that doesnt have a browser but that doesnt mean i enjoy using the ps3's.

My 360 is a couple months old. It's a little noisey but it isn't that loud compared to my cousins older model. He says his is about 5 time as loud so it's not as much of an issue. I can't hear it over the sound of the tv.

On the other hand, the xbox to me is like a half finished console. The PS3 costs more but the xbox is without live, wireless and battery packs/charge wires as standard and all of these sell at ridiculous prices for what they are. Plus the ps3 has blue-ray although not the best blue-ray player.

I do however find the xbox 360 controller much better than the ps3.

Mines no where near that loud even when spinning.

Both consols have good and bad points

Good point's single purchase buy game play..that's it

bad point's. out of date after the first month of release.. graphics compared to the pc are awfull no possible way to upgrade except swaping HHD for bigger ones....:o

uhh no i didnt know that... ive had mine for about 2 1/2 months..havent explored it all yet.

these threads should just be locked and purged from the beginning ..they bring out the same old suspects....come on mods :/
 
Listen kids you've spoiled this thread now. If any more of these are started then they'll just be closed as you cant be trusted to be civil. Use the stickied ones in future
