Why is crysis warhead running slow

I have a new Nvidia GTX 260 216
Q6600 3.6ghz
and 4gb 1066 ram
Vista ultimate x64

i get about 30fps when on 1920 x 1200 and 2x aa

If thats on very high settings its quite good AFAIK, what settings are you using?

take aa off, you dont need it at that res with this game.

i agree.

mine isnt much better tbh but perfectly playable nevertheless.

imo you need at least a gtx 280 to max this game out but AA kills it. as another post says you wont need it at that res.

Try running in DX9 mode as well much quicker than DX10 mode. This game is not that quick unless you have a high end SLI or X2 card. I struggle @ 1920x1200 on an I7-965 + GTX260-216 with slowdowns unless I drop the gfx settings a lot.

my 3870 runs farcry 2 easy at 1280x1024 all set to high.. It also runs crysis and crysis warhead pretty good too. look..........

yeah, but that is 1280x1024
1920x1200 is a whole other beast
its over full hd for a start

And what did you actually expect? I assume you've seen a benchmark or two for the game? Your results are about right, 2AA at that res is going to be a *massive* performance hog, relative to the already "low" fps Crysis offers.

don't use 2xAA just use 2x edge AA
