There is something wrong there. I get a least 30fps on the bench with a e4300 @ 2.8ghz and a 8800gts 320mb. Same settings but at 1280x1024

Just completed this game today and I have to say no other game I have paid for as long, and enjoyed as much as this one for a long time! The MP doesn't work for me so I will be most likely selling it on to someone else now

Damn. I lost my savegames! If anybody has a savegame near the point where you pick up the sniper rifle off the roof of the building for the first time, then could someone copy their savegame for me.

hmmm, i just tried it at 1680x1050 and i get 25fps, it should still be higher though

The X2 memory question has been debated many times,
if you select alternate frame rendering instead of split frame rendering then the X2 must use both sets of memory banks or the second card wouldn't be able to render it's frame

yeah thats true, but isn't alternate slower?

Bring your phone up and select multiplayer on the phone.

Bearing in mind I think you have to be signed in to the silly network before hand.

is anyone still getting the "run out of video memory - please restart your system" crash? I've got the latest patch but i'm still getting this frequently...

Split frame rendering makes one card render the top & the other the lower

Alternate Frame Rendering , also known as AFR , is the fastest dual mode. One card calculates all odd frames, the other the even frames. The principle is easily understood if you consider that a moving scene always consists of a sequence of individual images, which are strung quickly together to enable fluid movement of the displayed screen for the human eye.
The latter can be the cause of micro stuttering but on my 9800GX2 it was the fastest by far

I now have a GTX280 which is even faster

Hi folks,

Just bought this game a few hours ago. Hard disk is spinning really hard but still a long way to go as you see 16GB, my God!

I really like the retail package. The last time I have got a map out of a game box was almost 10 years ago, a game known as EF2000, flight simulation game. And also Falcon 4.0 which comes with a map of Korea.

Jesus Christ, have you read page 18 0f the magazine like little booklet, Mature+ Discreet Call Girls 555-CallG1rls. This game looks really hardcore to me. Reading the Credit pages, Merlin beard, the developers really put in huge efforts to produce this title.

Anyone has had experience over Games for Windows Live yet? It reminds me of the MSN Gaming rooms many years back. I wonder if they work the same way...

By the way, anyone manages to run the game without much stuttering with an ATi 3000 series card. Mine is a 3850, hope it works! See you folks on line soon.

I tried this online today, and I found all the matches were annoyingly short, it's too easy to die (or maybe i'm useless!). With such a huge play area to use, I found myself doing 1min matches of cops and robbers (if thats what its actually called). There is plenty of variety though, which is good.

The racing online is difficult, the game doesnt lend itself to it since the cars slide and roll very easily, and there are so many roadside objects to clip! Also the camera not moving fast enough really can hinder you here unless you're using a mouse all the time. Still, it was some fun but there's room for improvement.

Wish people would stop posting spoilers!!!

I've been revising for my exams in jan and everytime I pop in here for a few min and look at this thread I find out more about the story that I didn't want to know yet!

I suppose this is the best excuse for not revising, as if I play more spoilers can't happen..... ;-)
