Wiper blades that don't suck

The normal shaped Bosch ones are awful. Mine were good for only a few weeks before they started juddering. Champion last far longer.

Get yourself some aerotwin bosch ones ! got them on my car about a month ago and think there fantastic

Just ordered some areotwin's for the front and a VALEO standard 14" for the back as they are way overdue for replacement. With the number of happy customers in this thread I think i'll be happy with their performance when they arrive ^_^

I'll just chime in with another vote for Valeo flat ones.

Also avoid the £8 Tesco flat ones. I had a pair of these only to have the mounting mechanism snap on me while I was doing 95 in the wet*. That was a bit of a brown trousers moment.

The only reason it didn't fly off completely is because of the spoiler on the wiper arm, it certainly didn't wipe the screen any more.

Where did you get them?

They dont make Aerotwins for the E39. The PIAAs are for 5 series 2003> so thats E60 not E39. Ended up just getting the regular bosch wipers. They work ok. If you can get them cheap even better, as they wont last any longer if you pay over the odds for them. Cleaning the blades helps them last longer.

Good quality ones do, £9 off ebay do not, however.

Indeed. Bought the Aerotwins for the front of mine. Lasted ages, silent, smear free operation. Great stuff.

Got a cheap Ebay one for the rear as couldnt find an Aerotwin in that size. Was OK for a while and is now noisy as hell.

Why on earth would you want ugly aero blades on a classic car?

mini wipers are about as effective as huffing on the inside of the glass hoping the immense heat will make the rain evaporate as it hits the screen.

i would rather have some that work and slot the proper chrome jobs on when heading to shows.

Friend has some on his Astra GSi. Great to start with, now they skip and bang across the screen, actually make more of a mess with them turned on than when they are off!

I've got them on the Manta and Kate has them on the Golf - I'd never go back to normal ones despite the fact they don't look fantastic.

Mine are cheapo Ebay ones and have been fine, no horror stories.
