Wiper blades that don't suck

Can you get aero blades that don't look rubbish? My standard Bosch's are beginning to wear.

yep, only from Lexus though afaik, look like this.

come standard on the IS, car pictured above is a 300zx, don't know which other cars they would fit.

I have Valeo aeros they have been superb for over a year now, even grated them on an icy windscreen and no smearing/noise when used after!

Clean your blades with an alcohol wipe. It's amazing the amount of crud that comes off, and it really does restore them to 'like-new' performance, i.e. silent operation and no smearing.

Bosch Aerotwins here, bit more cost wise but they are fantastic wipers. Silent, wipe brilliantly first time and looks quite good too.

Anything but original ones ruins the wiper arm look on an E46, meh least they last a long time :)

I'll just chime in with another vote for Valeo flat ones.

Also avoid the £8 Tesco flat ones. I had a pair of these only to have the mounting mechanism snap on me while I was doing 95 in the wet*. That was a bit of a brown trousers moment.

The only reason it didn't fly off completely is because of the spoiler on the wiper arm, it certainly didn't wipe the screen any more.

same happend to mine.... all aero blades ive tried have been *&*%

You tried the flat blade ones? Going to get myself a pair and see what they are like.

i tried flat blade wipers(classic fusion flat) and they didn't seem to last as long as normal wipers before they started streaking and they lifted at speed
i went back to normal wipers

BMW oem ones for me, not cheap but better blade design than the boggo bosch ones (only ones I've found to fit the screen contours and have 8 pressure points as opposed to 6 on the bosch).

I have some PIAA silicon ones that might be of use to you too, unused.

I got some for a tenner of a well known auction site. Still work fine after 6 months so muct be Ok. Happy with them

Yep same here, was £8 for the pair with £3 p&p iirc. Had them on for about 2 and a bit months, very smooth and do a very good job even if there isnt much water on the windscreen. Almost silent too.

Why did you change the whole mounting? Surely foxy just wants the blades, ime any will do. I got some bosch ones for around £4 or something when i bought the s-class as it came with a split blade which wasnt wiping the sensor. Still absolutely fine 18 months later.

Urmm...depends on the way your arms work...I was thinking RHD wipers with different length arms...but LHD wipers will be the reverse...so yes, they would be upside down.

Most are multi directional anyway...else how would they come back down. :p

also, peugeot had a habit of leaving LHD wipers on RHD models, so i guess it makes naff all difference. a set of 20"/18" bosch aerotwins here i come :p
