Artefacts in Crysis - 4870x2

Hi all ;=]

Anyone here experienced artefacts in Crysis? Flashing scenery...

I'm running it with a Powercolor 4870x2 with CCC 8.12..

Vista 64
Q6600
4GB Corsair Dominator ram

Don't have that game myself so can't try it out on my 4870x2 but try uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers.

If that doesn't work perhaps try that 8.11 set if you haven't already.

by the way I'm new to this: CCC will incorporate all drivers I need?

Just use its uninstaller in Programs and Features and it should remove it fine.

I had this too, turn off the Overdrive utility! It just causes lots of stress.

oh - seems this may be heat related - fan doesnt want to start on my 4870x2...

Fans should be fine with overdrive off. If you are on cat 8.12 you should be able to see what your fan speed is running at.

I don't think there is. Up that fan speed to 50 percent constantly to see if its an overheating problem as 27 percent is no where near enough under load to keep an x2 cool.

With cat ai disabled you will only be using 1 gpu. From what i have heard you need cat ai enabled to run in crossfire. I am sure i heard someone else saying this got rid of artifacts in crysis for them also but it defeats the point of playing crysis on the fastest card.
