Can't OC AT ALL

Dunno about that marcus, the latest batches of INTEL IGP board overclock pretty well while using onboard graphics. . .

Hairboi: I think you need to have a play with the memory options? anyway you can set the memory divider lower?

It's by far the worst bios in terms of overclocking options to be honest, it says frequency, then DRAM freq, and when the freq is 266mhz, the DRAM has options of AUTO, 667mhz, 800mhz, 1066mhz.....when it should be 533mhz. I can't change the timings, when i try to change the cpu voltage it says, AUTO, 50mv, 100mv, 150mv.

Hmmm . . . oh! :(

I've not used that board but have used a few similar ones based on G31 and G45. The G31 boards have similar basic options and also do that strange memory ratio thingie, the two workarounds I found was to use the nOObie built in overclocking feature (+5%, +10%, +30% etc) or to use very fast PC2-8500 memory.

I think if you have a dig around the BIOS/Manual you may find out where is the memory timings, slackening the RAM may give you some headroom or increasing the memory voltage if that's possible (or both).

Sorry I couldn't be more help but let us know how you get one! :)

Is there a way i can return this motherboard, even though it's been used (for 2 hours), and get a full refund? I've had it for 1 day.

AFAIK as long as it's returned in a saleable condition then you should be able to use the distance selling reg's to return it for a refund if you got it mail order but you have to inform them that you are returning it under the DSR's within 7 days.

You have to pay return postage and you are liable for the product until it's received by the seller.

If you went to the shop then they'll probably take it back but may charge for doing it depending on their terms and conditions.

hi, 533mhz x 2 = 1066mhz because on ddr2 clock speed of the data bus is doubled.
so when the ram is set at 1066 it is running at its native 533mhz.

Well it's all in perfect condition, the only actual 'packaging' i've touched is a single plastic bag with a sata cable in it, does this mean i can't send it back :| ?

And could anyone recommend a mATX motherboard that will actually overclock decently, (my last one was a Gigabyte G33m or something but i can't find it on OC again :<)

I have a Gigabyte G31M-S2L.
Nice and easy to overclock , and cheap.
Only takes 4gb of ram though.
Got my Q6600 up to 3.3ghz easy enough (dont want to go any higher.)

Hi , i'm using Team value ram 800mhz.
FSB is 367 @1.33v.
I'm using a 2.50 ram multiplier so it's running at about 918mhz.
Havent tried playing with the timings.
I had the same trouble as you.
I had a cheap Biostar mobo and could just about get a 300mhz overclock.
Bunged in the Gigabyte board upped the fsb to 367 , had to fiddle with the voltage , up from 1.27 to 1.33 and gave the ram a little bit more electric.
Job done.
It will go higher but my UPS freaks out at 3.4ghz.
I'm sure it supports wolfdale.
