Where can I get tumble dryer outlet pipe?

What I'd like to know (apologies for the hijack, but you seem to be sorted :D) ...is whether you can get a solid u-bend type thing for hanging out of the window. My tumble pipes get all tatty very quickly after a few weeks of being wedged in a window - maybe I can just get an odd bit from a plumbers' merchant or something?

I'd love to drill out a permanent vent for it, but the council get a bit sniffy about that sort of thing ;)

On the subject of DIY, Where can I get foam tape (stuff for sealing gaps) - I want the thick (5mm?) foam, but thin tape (width).

B&Q only seem to be selling rubbishy wide stuff with really thin foam.

More specifically 3.5" diameter.

Any ideas?

Want to go get it tomorrow, ta. :)

You could always buy one of them aftermarket condensor things that negates the need for a pipe, you can get them for between £10 - £20 if you google "Tumble Dryer Condenser"

Don't you still need a pipe to connect it to the dryer?
Or am I thinking of the box that you fill with cold water and it sort of works ok, for a bit, but when the water heats up the room fills with steam and condensation all over everything?

Not sure exactly what you mean but some thin wire coathangers and duct tape would probably do the job.

Wilkinsons of all places.

I picked some up for the main door a few weeks back. I went to B&Q and only found the nasty thin stuff. Tis cheaper at Wilko's also. :)
