You could always buy one of them aftermarket condensor things that negates the need for a pipe, you can get them for between £10 - £20 if you google "Tumble Dryer Condenser"

I'd love to drill out a permanent vent for it, but the council get a bit sniffy about that sort of thing![]()

On the subject of DIY, Where can I get foam tape (stuff for sealing gaps) - I want the thick (5mm?) foam, but thin tape (width).
B&Q only seem to be selling rubbishy wide stuff with really thin foam.
