Best i7 Ram DDR3 1333Mhz - 1600Mhz 6Gb

Depends on your budget really, adata make some 1333mhz set at cas 7-7-7-20 which overclock insanely apparently but they cost quite a bit.

You might as well get a 1600mhz kit and the corsair dominator can be had for quite a good price if you look round.

Then there not much point with tri-channel bandwidth, might as well get some average 1333MHz. It won't make much difference over 1600MHz or higher in game. Just make sure you get 6Gb as that will help.

the Adata 3gb 1333mhz ram clocks amazingly. You can get it up to 2000mhz, and it can run at much higher voltages too than normal ddr3 ram (1.75 or 1.9 i think) where as most ram is 1.65v.

i've currently got 6gb of Patriot Viper 1600mhz @ 9-9-9-24 and its perfect. Looks amazing, stable as anything.
This is my second build using patriot ram and both have been great. And if my last build was to go by, this ram will clock really well too!!

unfortunatly OCUK don't stock Patriot ram, but look around and you should be able to find it. Only 195 notes too, which is good for 6gb of very fast ram.

is there not an issue by giving the ram more than 1.65v when overclocking the i7's ?

normally the ram can only run at 1.65v's otherwise you end up damaging it.

how-ever, adata claim there ram can run at higher than this - so i guess it has been made to handle the higher voltages....

I meant the cpu.... with the onboard memory controller.

The official line is no more than 1.65v Vdimm or will damage the uncore. Current wisdom is to keep Vdimm within 0.5v of VTT. Max VTT is supposed to be 1.35v, do the maths.
