Vehicle Enquiry on just a registration

Register a fake wheel clamping company and then pay the DVLA a subscription fee to access their database?

Seriously though, they do have a form for asking for this information but you have to give them a good reason (such as a hit and run) they aren't just going to give out someone's personal information to any bugger who asks* as that would be illegal.

* well not unless you pay the aforementioned fee.

My cousins had R4CED on a Ferrari 355. They have since got rid of it and its ended up on a VW T30 Van!! :(

Atleast the R4NCH plate they had is on a Toyota Landcruser.
 
Also you could do what I've just done if you want to contact the owner, put the plate into google, search for UK-only sites and see if anything useful comes up.

In my case it turned up on the members cars section of the Mitsubishi Lancer Register so I've just joined and PM'd the guy asking if he wants to sell it.

Edit, also small world, seems like he bought his Evo from someone who posts there called "mrk", wonder if it's the same mrk as who posts on these forums?

I spent 4 years harassing the DVLA to issue that plate. When they did they put it to auction where some **** outbid me, it ended up going for 2 grand, this was in November.

Good luck getting the guy to sell.
