Whats UT3 like these days?

Also, I've just loaded up UT2K4, I remember when my fav list was really active, server browser makes me cry :(

Hardly anything anymore, these used to be some of the best servers, now they dead :(

I love it, and feel that its the closest to the original.

I didnt enjoy 2k3 or 2k4, but then I was playing on a crappy system at the time.

UT3 is just random destruction and fun for me. just my 2cents
 
when i search i find loads of servers but almost all, apart from say 5-6, are empty :( and the few that do have players ranger from 1-10 if im lucky :(

Try it again - it might have a steeper learning curve than UT3 but it is so much more rewarding and fun. It was also designed for the PC for the ground up, rather than designed for the PS3 and then ported lazily to the PC as an afterthought.

A bit disapointing after how amazing Unreal 1 is, but I found it far more enjoyable than the PC version of Halo.

UT2004 added loads of annoying movement which changed the game to make evading gunfire far more important than actually killing things, UT2004, in particularly with the Shield gun was far too defensive. UT3 has brought things back into line.

The irony being UT2003/2004 originally started life as a conversion from unreal championship, the console game.
To say its lazily ported is a load of rubbish.


UT2004 was good, but the core gameplay of UT3 is just so much more brutal and fast paced. Gotta love hugely overpowered weapons :D
 
I got UT Anthropology but going to install UT3 now & see what all the fuss is about & if i suffer the X-FI ram problem.
 
A map like Rankin would be cool, plus Deck needs some color. Plus what is with the server browser having random freezes. You would figure that the thing with the most simple graphics wouldn't freeze like that, that is the only prob. I have with the game.
 
It seems like everyone wants to play this game online but nobody does because nobody else does, how about we all just start playing it?
 
My ut3 seems to crash randomly when playing.

Only game out of like 50 games installed atm I have problems with :confused:.
Other ue3 games inc physx enabled games like bro's in arms hells highway are fine.
 
It crashed when i used OpenGL Hardware Audio randomly so thats still needs sorting not a biggy.

UT3 is rubbish - UT2004 is superior in every way, in terms of gameplay.

UT2004 was more about hitscan, UT3 is a much more fun game and im more skillful
