Hi Guys,

I'm new to the forums and wanted to start my first post asking for some advice.

Basically i am upgrading my setup step by step shortly and wondering what motherboard to get. I'm looking at the:

XFX nForce 790i Ultra

EVGA nForce 790i Ultra SLi Digital PWM

now im not really sure which of these is better i have read the reviews on the OCUK shop part of the site but not sure which would be best - i don't really want to overclock as i don't know enough to try it - but these 2 are within the price range i set and they both look really good - hoping you guys can advise - also how easy is it to set up raid 0 from scratch on these 2?

Thanks in advance looking forward to replies :D

Those boards are both the same, same company just different departments/brands, but they are both identical, so go for whichever one you want, I think typically the EVGA will have a slightly longer warranty where as the XFX will prob be a bit cheaper.
RAID 0 is easy to set up, go into the BIOs and change HD set up from IDE to RAID then when you next boot you can select RAID0, remember to do this before you bother installing as if you install first you'll just have to start again (voice of experience, lol)

As suggested, go with the manufacturer you're happy with. I believe the EVGA board gets better support but I have a friend with the XFX who didn't really have anything bad to say about it.

Broad as it's long, go with your gut! :)
