I do this a lot, Cross Country are *supposed* to be offering Wifi onboard, but I've been using mobile broadband (3G), normally has a signal for about 60% of the journey.

Gadgetshop special! Bought it years ago. Iirc it was about £30.
Shelf is from Ikea. They do the full floating shelf. I chopped one down to fit that gap and modified the bracket. Its around 1/4 of its original size.

Dual AC power sockets, no Wifi though, so used 3g.
