Why would I want to carry all that crap around?

If it's cold enough to warrant gloves, they are on my hands. My wallet (ie not a purse, it contains no coins) fits in my pocket, as does my phone and keys.

What else would I possibly need bar my laptop?

If I'm going somewhere I need my tablet PC (I'm not an apple whore iFag who has to carry my macbook everywhere so that I can look "cool"), I take my LAPTOP BAG with me to the car, where it sits on the back seat until such time as I get to work/remote site.

I had a messenger style bag. A Caterpillar one so it was somewhat masculine and was labelled a workmans bag, but everyone thought it was a laptop bag.
