Pizzas -worst value fast food?

No mate, off wheat products in general. Turns out I am intolerant to wheat.

And guess what most alcohol is made from :(

Fortunately if I drink beer or eat bread I don't get ill, just bloat up like I am preggers!

Same here.:)

It's wheat and gluten free flour, you use it pretty much the same way as normal flour, it means you don't have to spend £4 on a tiny frozen freefrom (Sainsburys) pizza.

I've been the same for a few years now and the selection of food out there has grown steadily, just don't try the G/F bread, eugh.:p

Although I have never really had a problem with beer (having said that I don't really drink much anyway):)

EDIT: ok I have slightly different symptoms to you, I don't bloat up that much! lol

Yeah I know what you mean...somehow a zinger, fries and a coke is much more satisfying at only 4 quid ish. I was thinking about this the other day actually.. pizza is quite expensive for what it is. Often at uni when we were hungover we used to order a deal with 2 pizzas and something like 3 sides... it was about £25.. you could get soooo much more food for that price at say KFC....

*drooooool*

All the local shops around my work do a buy one get one free deal, so you can pick up two extra large pizzas for like a tenner, seems a pretty decent deal to me. Could easily feed 4 or 5 people with that as well.

For those of you who like making their own, keep a look out for Italian shops selling pizza base mix. We sell one in our shop that makes great bases in about half an hour.

Yes, Asda ones are good value and Dr. O's are really tasty. My best kept secret for the perfect pizza, whether shop bought and frozen or fresh, is to drizzle a little olive oil over it before you put it into the oven.

As for the gluten free option, either make you own or try using the gluten free baguettes as bases.

It's a shame that most of the KFC's round here either don't have any chicken, or have aren't even clean enough to walk past.

you can make pizzas with bread aswell if your lazy just toast the bread first and then stick it under the grill once the toppings are on! tastes much much better than you would imagine

Arghh!! What is that about!! The KFC near me at uni often had a sign on the door...we are out of zingers, chicken fillets and anything except the parsons nose.

I usually go for dominoes because i get student discount, i was shocked when i found the charged £14 for a pizza though!

Mostly now i go to the supermarket and buy one of their branded stone oven cooked pizzas, damn sight tastier than any chain pizza store.

Domino's is better.

Ill second that..

OP shouldnt have skimped out for a Pizza and should have forked out for a legendary Pizza from Dominoes.. I was a Dominoes virgin until 2008 and i ended the year with an epic Dominoes peperoni Pizza :D on new years eve before my big night out :D

Ahhhh, what a feast.

Let that be a lesson to you :)

casa della pizza in brighton, £5 all you can eat pizza (all day) and buy one get one free if eating out and it tastes AMAZING, lost track of the times i went there for lunch when working for the games workshop just round the corner :D

The other day, for £15.47, I got at Pizza Hut:

2 large italian base pizzas
2 garlic breads (4pcs)
1 cheesy garlic bread (4pcs)
1 bbq chicken wings (6pcs)
3 dips

It fed 4.

I'd say it was great value. Just blagged an online voucher (which wasn't working) over the phone: 50% off when you spend £30 and collect.

Make you're own pizza's. Dough is easy and cheap to make, tomato topping cheap and easy, even mozzarella isn't that dear.

Once you've made your own pizza all imitations pale in comparison. Say no to take away pizzas, say no to frozen pizzas and say no to pre made pizza bases.
