5.1 Zalman headphones problem

Just bought the above headphones. i know there maby not the best saround headphones but i liked them.

I have done everything it tells you to for setting them up and i cannot get sound. i tried removing and re installing them.

I have checked Device Manager and its there. there set as my default audio output, theres no mute on and there getting power.

I can hear what i can only describe as sssshhhhhhhhhhhh noise but no actual sounds from them even when i use their demos.

Any ideas

Try this
goto Control Panel
Select Sounds and Audio Devices
click Audio
Under the Sound Playback select the zalman or whatever it is called under the drop down list.
Also under Voice select the zalman device if it is present

There getting closer and closer to being thrown out the window.

I have tried the above still didnt work, so thaught remove them from system and fresh install. still nothing.

Im now getting the Ero

Driver is not installed properly thats why its not being recognized might be cause by software conflict or anti virus especially those with Access Protection Control.Disable access protection from your anti vir or disable your anti vir and try installing again.

Tried the above. i have also tried un installing all of the other sound files on the machine and doing it with out but the same happens. i then re installed and tried now getting the same.

At the stage where i cant be bothered instaling them as im going to be buying a new mobo and stuff soon so would be doing a fresh instal of my os but would have been nice to test them

If you want to try them I suggest you swap them for the non usb version w/c uses your mobo/stand alone sound.I also find out after fixing one of this headphones that they are not really 5.1 although it got 6 drivers but rather just 6 channels headphones in w/c

2 are for L/R
2 are for L/R Rear
2 are for L/R Center channels

so there is really no dedicated bass driver for this headphones.The 5.1 description is a bit confusing.

After all tomorow im going to order a whole lot of new kit so will be doing a fresh os install.
