woefully single

I think quite a large proportion of people on here come under that category - but I fail to see why being single is usually viewed as a bad thing. People put too much pressure on themselves to find someone these days when the fact is you can be almost/equally as happy by having your own free rein over where you go and what you do etc :D

A lot of my friends are certainly not what I would call blissfully happy in their marriages/relationships.

Haha, as you've clocked up a staggering amount of posts in a very short time, I'd say you're woefully single too eh? :p

Well I had a "lady friend" round for xmas dinner, but I don't think she was overly impressed with my kinda burnt turkey (that's not a euthamism sp?), slightly under done pigs in blankets and the fact I ran out of wine.:p

So yes woefully single :o

This is true, and I wouldn't say I'm unhappy being single, but after a year or so you do start to miss the physical side of things, having someone to spend time with etc. So I shall just have to wait and see what this year brings :)

Partly true. But everyones depressed nowadays so it doesn't matter.

If a friend gets a girlfriend its good, so long as they don't shove their happiness in your face all the time. Being single is stigmatised in today's society but there are much worse things that could happen in someone's life and there are much worse things to be. I think everyone gets lonely at times though, even if they don't admit it.

When I first realised what my reflection was ;)

Serious answer though, I was 24 she was 22, and it was 2 amazing years, until my heart was ripped out, slowly cut to shreds, then incinerated and dissolved in vitriol. The doctors still haven't been able to fix it... but 3 years have passed and the pulse although weak is noticeable. Frankly I don't really care when it next happens, I'm quite enjoying myself despite being single. :)
