Can anyone comment on the BFG cards reported overheating issues?

they all come from the same factory, so if there was a bfg overheating issue, it's either a coincidence, or common witha all brand cards from the same batch

These worth getting then? I'm hovering overthe buy button on the BFG at £250, but the last card I bought (GTS 320mb) shot down in value as it was quickly superceeded. Are we likely to see this again or are the newer cards not that much better and much more expensive?!

Fixed ages ago, was on all GTX 280 cards when they were first released. It is just a fault and nothing that major or the cards would not be stocked.

Anyone know if the 280 is any bigger than the GTS 512 ? Just like to make sure i can fit it in my case .

Its possible they may work, you can SLI 8800GT's with 9800GT's - that was just a 55nm refresh.

lol I think I might be in the **** too. If the card doesn't blow my gts320 out the water i'll be a bit disappointed though, it was way too slow on my 22" monitor because of the lack of VRAM. Was going to get a 260 but since this was a few quid more just went for it. Hopefully the resale value will be good too.

My old GTS has done this thing recently in the last 2 days where there's no display when turning on my pc and the gfx fan runs on full until I hard-power-off. Hopefully this is good timing!

It will do. I noticed it was a lot faster than my old 8800GTX 768MB

Yes on the latest games, on some of the older titles it is questionable though.

Until they are all gone, we have loads but at the rate these have started selling they wont last long.
