If anyone figures out how to install Creative Labs XFI drivers for an Xtreme Audio let me know!. It would say its installed but in the device manager it would show ! and under speakers it would say no audio device installed

Not sure if its the same but my mate installed them on his X-fi extreme music, right click on the drivers then go to properties and set compatibility to windows vista, they worked like a charm then.

Would it not be better to use the compatible software for windows 7 that microsoft have stated ?

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/antivirus-partners/windows-7.aspx

I'm using KIS 2009 with vista, on the kaspersky forums it is reported that it does work with windows 7 but it's not officially supported.

The Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows 7 you can use until March and the avg 8.0 is only a 30-day trial though.

Yes i have including what i use now ( Youp-Pax )

I can't really see the point in using AV on a Beta OS anyway. You'll only be using it a couple of months. If it gets stuffed up, so what?

You're right. If it's only for a few months I have no problem with my personal details being distributed to all of the authors of the viruses and malware.

Still couldn't give a stuff. Having important data and information in a Beta OS that's potentially unstable (i.e. using it 'in production') isn't really a good idea anyway. I couldn't care less about anything on mine.
