Photoshop CS4 is breaking my balls

Every time I try to make a photomerge the images begin to stich together and at the end of the process there ends up with no image displayed. just a bare opened photoshop program. Whats the deal? Anyone else having these problems?

Not specifically thats one, but yes i am having a fair few problems. I have resorted to cs3 extended, and will wait untill they release an update (mind i dont really like it as much as cs3 anyway).

its great apart from this massive problem which MAY only affect the 64bit version. Other than this one issue I have been using it happily for 2 months

Why persevere with something that you don't prefer? I played with a trial version of CS4 for a bit, but I can't say I was impressed enough to even consider changing.

I like CS4. the layout really helps. The live preview clone tool is excellent and there is the addion bonus of GFX performance boost.

just use the place option istead and merge it manually not a problem ive done loads this way

have they built in any kind of auto save fuinction?

or is there something I have missed in previous versions?
