Hi guys,
Now I mostly train with weights, but start each session with cardio.
Last year I was running in ankle socks and Nike Court Traditions (ones with 3 velco straps) because I was too much of an arse to buy decent running shoes. After a while I began to develop a blister, always in the same place, on the same foot. It was just behind the ball of my right foot on the inside as my foot begins to arch upwards. This stopped me running so much and I resorted to the cross trainer instead of forking out for shoes.
This semester I want to run! So today purchased so Asics Gel 1140 a reasonably good running shoe, or so I'm told. Today was my first session back and after 20 minutes in the same place on the same foot once again the blister has returned. Its quite large about an inch long and a 1.5cm wide. It must either be to do with the shape of my foot or how I run!
My left foot was completey fine, It didnt feel like my right was slipping inside the shoe, but obviously was. I'll do them up even tighter next time. I was sifting through blister threads and noticed 'Running socks' have been recommended a few times.
Can anybody recommend any? I'm after 'ankle' versions
And do they actually work!
Also pop or not to pop? I've found popping them tends to just leave a hollow pocket of skin which eventually dries up and falls off!
What are you actually supposed to do with them?
Regards
Benny C
