"Perfect" albums

I'll throw in a couple more to the mix:

Jean-Michel Jarre - Chronologie
Mono - You Are There
Spock's Beard - Kindness of Strangers

De-Loused would come very close for me too thinking about it. Fantastic album.

Cicatriz ESP spoils that album for me. It could do without all the white noise in the middle!

Also totally don't see the point in talking about near perfect albums. Anyone can make one of those. Oceansize's Effloresce is offended to be considered alongside Marshall Mathers.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Welcome To The Pleasuredome
Led Zep - I, II, III, & IV
Smiths - Hatful Of Hollow
Pearl Jam - Ten
Portishead - Dummy
Leftfield - Leftism
U2 - The Unforgettable Fire
The Cult - Electric
Bjork - Debut
P.J. Harvey - To Bring You My Love
Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes

Loads of great albums already listed, just to add few:

Marillion - Misplaced Childhood
Peter Gabriel - So
Marillion - Clutching At Straws
The Sisters Of Mercy - Floodland

I'm sure they'll have been said already but I would go for several Floyd albums, namely Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here and Animals.

I think it's a 'sum of the parts' case; individually some of the songs might not be particularly brilliant but when you put them together in album form I find myself just drifting along, musical perfection imo.

I can't think of many albums by other bands that have that effect on me.

Bizarre ride II the Pharcyde

Brainfreeze by cut chemist and Dj shadow

Raindogs - Tom waits

Off the top of my head

stone temple pilots - core
guns n roses - appetite for destruction
mad season - im above
jamiroquai - space cowboy
happy mondays - pills thrills .....
stone roses - stone roses
pearl jam - ten
oasis - definitely maybe
