Amazed, used to play Blood Bowl as well as Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay tabletop as a kid around about 1988.
With eight different races drawn from the Warhammer World, gamers have a huge variety of playing styles to choose from.

Traditional Humans and Orcs are available of course, but also Skaven, Dwarfs, Wood Elves, Goblins, Lizardmen or even Chaos! Players can also recruit one of the “Big Guys”, bigger and more brutal versions of the Blood Bowl players.

Among them are the Minotaur, the Troll the Ogre and the Kroxigor. The player may as well unlock certain Blood Bowl All Stars, prestigious players from the past. All of these "Star Players” often make the difference in a tight match.

Me too!! I'm well excited lol!! I'm 33 when this comes out will feel 14 all over again!!! lol!! :p

Got a full collection of Skaven & Chaos Lead Figures, had some professionally painted when I was about 19. :)

I am same age and painted all my own team. My brother had his ones displayed in the local shop as he was a fantastic painter and even made his own models from scratch.

I bet I still have them at my dads house somewhere hidden in dust lol

I remember there being a similar PC Game that was based on it and that was good, so i'm hoping this will be awesome.

YES! THEY FINALLY UNDERSTAND!

The whole reason I don't play Warhammer Online is because they omitted all the races that make Warhammer unique. I can't wait to get this and have an army of filthy rat-men storm the field!

This is going to be without a doubt the best 'sports' game ever made. No more NFL, FIFA or any of that junk. Roll on multiplayer brutality!
 
haha, I remember the table top version - so much fun :)

And then Chaos Bowl for the PC and it's addons - that was also fun....let's hope they don't make a pigs ear of it :D
 
Cyanide made chaos league and they are the same people who are making this. They also brought out a stand alone expansion pack called sudden death. apparrently Games workshop got on their high horse and told them they were being naughty for making a game so close to blood bowl, and were going to sue them, but its all been sorted amicably now and as part of the settlement they are making the blood bowl game under games workshops authorisation.

i really liked chaos league, and play bloodbowl still now so im quite looking forward to this :D

Yeah GW can be a bit tight on their copywright issues. Maybe that's why why Vince McMahon failed with that crazy American Football adaption with all the banned players. Maybe not though :D
 
Anyone dug up some release dates for this? I too am hoping this will be as good as im imagining it to be.
 
I too played this as a kid and am looking forward to a release sometime soon. However, the game was featured in Games Workshops magazine some time back with a release date of back end of last year so even if you find an official release date you may want to take it with a pinch of salt. Pretty much like any game really!

Really hope they feature a few of the old star players from the table top version.
 
This could be the next best thing online if its far more bloodier version of madden.
Still got my blood bowl in the store room and it was great, even got the expasion to it with the undead teams and magic. Looked at some off the star players and they are going to be faithful to their names and looks.

cannot honestly wait for this. can never understand warhammerwhy they havent actually brought out a game based on the warhammer series. i.e exactly like the table top gaming version kind of like a total war series but with warhammer
